The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has several familiar characters return; however, it also introduces new characters who are important to Hyrule’s history, such as Queen Sonia. She’s introduced as the first queen of Hyrule, and while it can seem unusual to see a woman who isn’t Zelda as part of the royal family, Sonia makes a fitting first queen.
