Final Fantasy 16’s narrative offers a satisfying conclusion that ties in with the themes of the story, and any DLC that goes beyond the ending could cheapen its finality. The Valisthea setting feels alive and immersive, but adding DLC content that takes place after the game’s ending would either change the setting or compromise the finality of the story. DLC benefited Final Fantasy 15, which felt incomplete at launch, an issue FF16 does not suffer from.
